Biography
Julie Lavallee
Julie Lavallee is an associate at Bloom Lines Alexander who practices exclusively in family law. She was born in Connecticut and raised in Atlanta. She attended the University of Georgia where she double majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Her undergraduate studies inspired her to pursue a career in law. During her last semester at UGA, she interned for the Western Circuit Public Defender’s Office in Athens, Georgia. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, Julie earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. There, she completed a one-year clinic with the Capital Defender’s Office, where she studied and researched high-profile criminal cases in Georgia. Upon graduation, she received an award for obtaining 350 hours of pro-bono service with the Federal Defender Program.
Following graduation, Julie returned to the Western Circuit Public Defender’s Office where she worked as an Assistant Public Defender. While there, she gained significant courtroom and negotiation experience. She returned to Atlanta in 2020 and began her career as a family law attorney.
Julie views her law degree as an opportunity to help others through difficult life events and to make the legal process easier for her clients every step of the way. On the weekends Julie enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and exploring the city with her husband, Todd, and dog, Winnie.
